Behind the Rundown

Built from the front lines of retirement conversations.

I’ve spent the last several years working on the inside of a major retirement services firm — in roles that put me on the phone every day with people trying to make sense of IRAs, rollovers, RMDs, and small-business retirement plans.

Over time, I noticed the same pattern: the rules keep changing, the forms keep evolving, and the questions keep coming. Most of the stress came not from the numbers, but from the uncertainty — “What actually changed?” “Where does this show up on the tax form?” “What should I even be asking?”

The Retirement News Rundown is my way of turning that front-line experience into something useful: short, plain-English explanations of what’s happening in the retirement world and why it matters.

I’m not here to tell you what to do with your money. I’m here to help you understand the landscape so you can have better conversations with your own tax, legal, or financial professionals.

If you work with retirement accounts, this is for you.

Whether you’re a financial professional or a DIY investor, the Retirement News Rundown helps you keep up with changing rules, without spending your life reading tax code. Just a few clear, focused reads each week.
